Donovan Long
FAMU alumnus Donovan Long graduated summa cum laude from the School of Journalism & Graphic Communication in spring 2015. Long’s genuine passion for news recently landed him an anchor position with the WFXL-TV (FOX31) news team in Albany, Ga. Prior to joining FOX 31, Long interned with both CNN and CBS News in New York. During his time at Florida A&M University, Long anchored and reported for FAMU’s newscast, News 20 at 5. Long is a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists, Society of Professional Journalists, and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
Gregory Bradley
Gregory L. Bradley earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from FAMU’s School of Business and Industry in 1996. Bradley was recently named vice president of the Atlanta-based firm North Highland, a global management-consulting firm that delivers unique value, relevant big ideas, and strategic business capabilities to clients around the world. Bradley has more than 15 years of experience in management consulting, advising, and leading executives in strategy and execution across multiple industries. Bradley will work to continue developing relationships in partnership with account teams for existing clients and build relationships with potential prospects. His specific areas of expertise include large-scale business transformation, post-merger integration, financial shared services, accounting/finance, and complex program management. In addition to focusing on client development, Bradley, as an African-American leader within the firm, will also lead North Highland’s recruiting efforts with historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs), furthering North Highland’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Sherman Whites
Alumnus Sherman Whites earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from FAMU in 1995. He then took a different route at the University of North Carolina, where he earned his MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School. Whites currently serves as a program officer for the Walton Family Foundation’s K-12 Education team in Washington, D.C. Whites is responsible for managing philanthropic investments, driving the foundation’s core strategy of improving education through empowering parents to choose among high-performing schools. Whites joined the foundation after working in New Orleans as part of the Broad Foundation’s Residency in Urban Education.
Nikaya Brown
As chairperson and CEO of Tri Destined Studios, Nikaya Brown oversees business and legal affairs, corporate structure, strategic planning, and green-lights projects for Tri Destined Studios and its subsidiary companies. Brown has produced more than 100 multimedia productions and is extremely dedicated to providing employment opportunities to minorities and women who are often underrepresented in the entertainment industry. She also strives to expose this same talent to an awaiting global audience. Her most recent film and television achievements include producing three feature films for New York Times best-selling author Carl Weber: “The Man in 3B,” “Preacher’s Son,” and “Choir Director” starring Lamman Rucker, Billy Dee Williams, DB Woodside, Jaleel White, Drew Sidora, Clifton Powell, Vanessa Bell Calloway, and Valarie Pettiford.
Brown has set no limitations for herself or others in the industry by creating opportunities through her corporate leadership, producing, writing, and acting endeavors. Brown earned an MBA from FAMU and studied international affairs at the renowned Institut Catholique de Paris in France. During her undergraduate studies at FAMU, Brown pledged the Beta Alpha Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
